SPEAKING

Michael Sherman has appeared as keynote speaker at conferences and meetings of many of Canada's largest corporations.  Michael explores how our brain processing powers are limited, and how we frequently make irrational decisions by relying on mental short-cuts.  Using behavioural economics insights, humour and anecdotes, he shows how we can all make more informed decisions, hone our critical thinking skills, and solve problems with confidence.  Audience members attending his talks will leave better able to:

  • Appreciate the application of behavioral economics to various areas of business and law
  • Understand how cognitive biases affect their decision-making processes
  • Develop strategies to avoid irrational decisions and apply thought processes that allow them to solve problems more effectively

Michael regularly gives speeches to members of the Law Society of Upper Canada and the Canadian Bar Association as part of their Continuing Professional Development programs.  Michael is able to customize the content of his presentations to meet the needs of his audiences, from 30 minutes keynote addresses to full-day workshops.  In addition, Michael has appeared as a guest on several TV shows speaking as an expert of Behavioual Insights, including recent appearances on BNN and CP24 LIVE AT NOON.
